Attunr cancellation and refunds
Draft. Written 2026-10-17 and revised the same day after the legal review in lawyer-review.md. Not in force and not published.
BUILD: marks a promise that is only true once a planned build step ships.
The trial length, the first-payment refund, the founding price and the caps come from
docs/pricing-proposal.md. Margarita approved them on 2026-10-17 (decisions 3 and 4 there).
This policy is part of the Attunr terms of service.
1. Free trial
- New accounts get 14 days free. No card is needed to start.
- During the trial you get the Team plan's features with the Starter plan's limits.
- When the trial ends, the account becomes read only. Your data stays, but you can't add or send anything until you choose a plan.
- If you don't choose a plan within 30 days of the trial ending, we delete the account. We email the owner 7 days before.
2. Your first payment
- If Attunr isn't right for you, ask for a refund within 30 days of your first payment, monthly or yearly, and we refund it in full.
- This applies once per business.
3. Cancelling
- The owner cancels from the billing screen, at any time. No call or email is needed.
- Monthly plans. Attunr keeps working until the end of the month you've paid for. We don't refund part of a month.
- Yearly plans. Attunr keeps working until the end of the paid year. After the first 30 days (section 2) we don't refund the rest of a year. You can turn off renewal at any time up to the renewal date so it doesn't renew. When you choose a yearly plan, you tick a box saying it renews every year. We email the owner 45 days and again 20 days before each yearly renewal, with the date, the amount and a link to turn renewal off. BUILD: the renewal tick and the two reminders (step 3.3).
- Outgoing email, sequences, autopilot and calling stop when the paid period ends.
4. After the paid period ends
- Days 1 to 30: read only. The owner can sign in, look around and export everything: Sign in again and pick a plan to carry on where you left off.
- leads and companies as CSV;
- the full history as one file;
- recordings, voice notes and files.
- Within the next 30 days: deleted. We delete the account and everything in it from Attunr: records, history, files, recordings, connected keys and mailbox passwords. We ask Telnyx to delete any recordings it still holds.
- Within 30 more days: gone from backups. Backups that hold it age out. By then, at most 90 days after the paid period ended, nothing is left.
We email the owner before step 2.
BUILD: per-account export and full delete is Stage 3.4. Until it ships, these steps can't be promised.
Deleting sooner
The owner can ask to delete the account at once, from the billing screen, by typing the business name. It is then deleted within 7 days, and backups age out within 30 days after that.
What we keep
We keep invoices and billing records for 6 years, because Canadian tax law requires it. Nothing else.
Your do-not-call list
Canada's telemarketing rules make you keep each do-not-call request for 3 years and 14 days, and the US rules for 5 years. Export your list before your account is deleted. See the Acceptable use policy, section 2.
5. Changing plans and seats
- Adding seats or upgrading. Starts at once. You pay for the part of the current period that's left.
- Removing seats or downgrading. Starts at your next renewal. No refund for the current period.
- Over the new plan's limits. If you have more seats or leads than the new plan allows, choose which seats to remove and which leads to archive before the change. Until then you can't add more.
- Monthly AI and search allowance. It resets each month. Unused allowance doesn't carry over and has no cash value.
6. Payments that fail
- Stripe tries the card again over the next 14 days, and we email the owner each time.
- After 14 days unpaid: the account becomes read only. Email and calling stop.
- After 30 days unpaid: the account is suspended. Only the owner can sign in, to pay or export.
- After 90 days unpaid: the account is deleted as in section 4, step 2. We email the owner twice before that.
Paying at any point before deletion brings everything back.
7. Agency accounts
BUILD: agency mode is Stage 4.
- Cancelling an agency account closes all its client workspaces at the same time, on the same schedule as section 4.
- The agency can export each client workspace during the read-only days, and hand it to its client.
- Closing one client workspace stops its charge at the next renewal. Its data is deleted on the same schedule as section 4.
- Before we delete a client workspace, we email that workspace's client users 14 days ahead. The client can take an export, or move the workspace into its own Attunr account. The agency agrees to this in the terms, section 3. BUILD: the notice to client users and moving a workspace between accounts (Stage 4).
- A client can't ask us for its data outside that notice. It asks its agency, which is our customer.
8. When we end the agreement
- If we stop offering Attunr, or end your agreement without you being at fault, we give at least 30 days' notice and refund the unused part of what you prepaid.
- If we end it because you seriously broke the terms or the Acceptable use policy, we don't refund.
9. Calling and outside accounts
If your plan uses your own Telnyx account, your Telnyx balance and phone numbers are yours and stay with Telnyx. Release numbers you no longer need in Telnyx yourself. The same goes for any outside service you connected: close it with that service.
10. How refunds are paid
- Refunds go back to the card that paid, in the same currency, with the tax that was charged.
- They usually arrive in 5 to 10 business days, depending on the bank.
- If you dispute a charge with your bank, please write to us first at hello@attunr.com. A disputed account may be paused until the dispute is settled.
11. The founding price
- A founding price lasts for the time stated when you take it, while the plan stays paid.
- If you cancel and come back later, the normal price applies.
12. The law
Attunr is sold only to businesses, including sole traders buying for their business. Ontario's and Quebec's consumer protection laws protect people buying for personal, family or household use, and not a business buying for its business, so their cancellation and refund rules don't apply. These rules are what applies instead. The reminder before each yearly renewal (section 3) is sent anyway.
